ASUU Strike Has Been Called Off! When is UNILAG's Resumption Date?

 Few days ago, I shared the latest asuu strike update here on this blog, and everything I said turned out to be true.

 

Last night, there was a meeting held by some members of the ASUU body on whether or not the strike would end or not. This morning, we were hit with a news - that the ASUU strike has been called off.

But many UNILAG students want to know when UNILAG will resume, because a large percentage of students have moved on with their life.

Some have gotten fulltime jobs, some have found love and gotten married, and so on.

So When is UNILAG's Resumption Date?

The truth is that, many blogs claim that UNILAG will resume on the 17th. And that is a very unrealistic prediction, because of two reasons:

• There is a backlog on admissions - about two sets of students who gained admission have not resumed, so the school has to decide on how to merge them while managing available admission spaces
• The academic calendar cannot be followed, a new one has to be drafted

When these two issues have been sorted out, the University of Lagos will announce resumption dates.
