ASUU STRIKE UPDATE: Lectures Will Hold On Monday In UNILAG On Monday Unless...

The National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, made an announcement last week that Monday (will be a warning strike). For a school like the University of Lagos, students are wondering if classes will hold or not today.

The reason why ASUU strikes are recurring events is because many staff do not follow-through. When the Government promises them the money owed to them, they get satisfied with the 'audio promise', and end the strike. When they get frustrated again, they pick up the baton. While I understand how uneasy it is to stay away from work and payment as a protest, half loaf is better than one.

This is why ASUU is taking the bull by its horns this time.

Will There Be Lectures Today 7th February Or Not?

Lectures will still hold. I spoke to a lecturer this morning and I was assured that lectures will hold normally, unless the ASUU body in UNILAG rises to stop all lectures.
Go for that class, complete your assignment.
