UNILAG 2018/2019 BEDSSPACE BALLOTING: HOW TO GET A BEDSPACE

Hello dear readers. How have you been? I'm sorry for not being too frequent here, but I have been responding to all your mails sha. Now, many of you would have been waiting for his and yes- the balloting procedure is here already. Please, this information is for staylites and not FRESHERS. FRESHERS BALLOTING hasn't been announced yet .Thank you

Some days ago, the DSA announced that balloting of bed space for 200, 300 , 400 and 500 level students will commence NOV 12, 2018. However, in order to participate in this balloting process, you need to pay your school fees and register your courses. As at now the portal for registering courses is yet to be enabled. The DSA said, "I wish to plead with all returning students to exercise some patience. CITS has assured me that the portal will be ready for registration from Monday 5 November. I am monitoring the situation carefully. If there is a need to change the balloting date, I will do so and make the necessary announcement"

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO FRESHERS YET, AS FRESHERS BALLOTING HASN'T BEEN ANNOUNCED YET.

How to Get Unilag Bedspace

To ballot for a bedspace, you must have fulfilled the following conditions:

1. You should be a registered students

2. You must have paid your school fees

3. You should know how it works.

Sincerely and truthfully, it is stressful as more than 25,000 students would be balloting for less than 2000 spaces, so many students would be disappointed.

But I'm going to help less than 100 students get bedspace by balloting for you and trying my best to make you get a bedspace in your hall of residence.

You can be sure that your money is safe, and you would be refunded if at the end, all attempts from my end to get you a space in your hostel fails(which isn't likely)- so you get to lose nothing.
But like I said, assistance would be made to less than 100 students.

How to book a service

Follow these steps:

1. Send an email to unilagupdates@gmail.com and the email should contain the following:

(A) Your full name

(B) your matric number

(D) portal password (to be used for logging in)

2. You'll receive a reply from unilagupdates@gmail.com and the reply would contain a bank account details where you would need to transfer a sum of TWO THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED NAIRA only. After you transfer, you need to send a Receipt of the transfer/ a screenshot of the transaction to unilagupdates@gmail.com, alongside your account number, so we can refund you, if needs be.

3. Once we get the receipt or evidence of transfer, we book down an appointment to ballot for you.

Please try to book the service on, or before Sunday, 4th of November 2018. The deadline for payment is 8pm on Sunday the 4th of November; and we would do it in a first-come-first-served approach.

4. You would be notified by email from us after successful balloting and/ be refunded if unsuccessful. Note that the chances of we getting a hostel for the first 20 students are 90%, while the others stand a 60% chance.

Please don't send us an email if you are not ready to pay.
